Mental Health Walkathon
At Heritage Garden, a walk for mental health was organized in association with the Bombay Psychiatry Society—a project that holds great significance to us. The success of this event was made possible by our Non-Medical Director, Nimish Agrawal, who, alongside eminent psychiatrists, psychologists, and District Avenue chairs, orchestrated the occasion.
Appreciation is extended to President Neha for mobilizing colleges and schools and extending an invitation to DG Sir Arun Bharagava. Special acknowledgment is given to the Rotary Club of Mumbai Bandra Kurla Complex for co-hosting, with their president Rtn Raj Sheth providing valuable support.
A powerful speech was delivered by Dr. Jyoti Sangle, an eminent psychiatrist, while Dr. Sheba Singh, a psychiatrist and founder of Talk space, along with their interns, graced us with a thought-provoking street play: the Nukkad Natak!
Insightful messages were shared by Dr. Pankaj, Avenue chair for mental health, Dr. Jyoti Maheshwari, and Rtn Veeran. Our DG addressed the subject, and a special vote of thanks was extended to Vikram Swaroop for today.
Supportive Lakers present included Manisha, Monica, Manish, Tinku and Dolly, Kinnari, Sunil, and Pankaj Agarwal.
Lastly, warm thanks to the Rotaract Club of Chandrabhan Sharma and the Interact Club of Mumbai Lakers."
