Vocational Center
We started the Rotary Club of Mumbai Lakers – Rotary Center at Yashdeep Hande Compound, Ganesh Nagar, Panch Kutir, Powai, Mumbai – 4000076 in August 2015.
Since we started the club in 2009, have had been working with various NGOs in various avenues of service. In 2015 we decided to create a center where we could bring various programs for children, youth, women to Powai, we could hand pick the courses that will make a difference to all the people attending the various courses we put together. The center would also give all the members and families a platform of giving.
Through the last 2 years we have touched the lived of 175+people. We have also been able to find job placements for some.
The children of the locality like to spend the evenings at the center reading books from the Library, as their extended study area.
